Indian T20 League 2020 Preview: All You Need To Know About MI vs DC

The match which holds the potential of being an eventual final (MI vs DC) will be the twenty-seventh match of the Indian T20 League 2020. Abu Dhabi will play host for the match between these table-toppers.

Surprisingly, over the past five matches between these two teams, Delhi have managed to get the better of Mumbai three times. Historically Delhi vs Mumbai has always been an enticing contest in Indian domestic cricket and the clashes between the two teams in the Indian T20 League hasn’t disappointed either. We could be in for yet another intense contest between two of the most stable teams in the competition.

KEY BATTLES

Rohit Sharma vs Shreyas Iyer

Two Mumbaikars come together who are leading their respective teams from the front. It’s the battle between the present and the future of Indian cricket.

Even though MI has been the most successful team in the Indian T20 League in recent years, somehow Rohit Sharma has struggled with the bat. There were a few concerns regarding his tournament form coming into this one but he has put all these concerns aside this season and is doing well with both the bat and his captaincy skills.

DC has been the most successful team in the league so far this season and credit needs to go to their young captain, Shreyas Iyer. For them to continue doing well in the competition they need their captain to be in form throughout the season.

He missed out in the previous match against RR but will look to make the most out of this match.

PLAYERS TO WATCH OUT FOR

Kieron Pollard

Arguably the man who started this tournament in the best form was MI’s Kieron Pollard. He had a stellar Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season and was awarded the player of the tournament award. He has continued his good form in this competition as well and expect him to do well in this match as well.

Marcus Stoinis

A few heads spun in surprise when Marcus Stoinis was backed to be the fourth overseas player for Delhi at the start of the tournament. He put aside all the doubts and has done exceptionally well with both bat and ball this season.
